Longest Cargo Vessel to every visit Port of Aberdeen
Connecting the city with the world, Port of Aberdeen’s extensive storage and landside facilities support the safe and efficient handling of cargo across multiple sectors.
Last week – in addition to the largest ever vessel, the Noble Innovator jack-up rig – we were excited to welcome the 180m long Seastar Victory bulk carrier to Aberdeen South Harbour, making her the longest ever cargo vessel to visit Port of Aberdeen.
Accommodating vessels of up to 250m in length, the Seastar Victory is just one of many vessel firsts the port will welcome to Aberdeen South Harbour over the coming months as we start to see new, larger types and sizes of vessels that would previously have sailed by the city.
